Ma’ruf Amin: No Objection to Gaza Evacuation Plan

Former Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin has expressed his support for the government's plan to evacuate Palestinian residents from Gaza to Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of alleviating the hardships faced by the people in Gaza.
"I believe the key is to address the difficulties in Gaza by any means. If this can provide a solution, then there is no problem," Ma’ruf stated during a gathering at the official residence of the Coordinating Minister for Human Development, Muhaimin Iskandar, in Jakarta on Sunday, April 20.
He acknowledged that while relocating individuals is not an easy task, providing assistance within Gaza also presents challenges. Therefore, the government should focus on the most feasible way to offer aid.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto announced plans to evacuate thousands of Palestinians from Gaza to Indonesia. During his visit to Turkey on April 11, he clarified that the evacuation would be temporary, not permanent.
The Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Budi Gunawan, mentioned that officials are awaiting further instructions from the President regarding the temporary evacuation of Palestinian residents from Gaza to Indonesia.
Ma’ruf Amin's endorsement highlights Indonesia's commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts in Gaza and reflects the nation's solidarity with the Palestinian people.
